This picture show you the Col des Aravis and the mountains surrounding the ski resort of La Clusaz (Haute Savoie).
La Clusaz
is my favourite resort ever, so, even if there is hardly any snow left I was happy to spend my Sunday there.
It takes about 1 hour and a half to drive there from Grenoble.
Enjoy!

Yes, some of you were right, it was the back of a truck.
I took the first photo while waiting for the light to turn green, and the second one while driving. I know it's a bit dangerous and I promess I won't do it again!

This graffiti can be seen on a wall of an old industrial building called "Petite Halle Bouchayer". This building is curently being requalified. The project is really ambitious, and, in my opinion, is going to be a success. In a few months time, you'll find nice and new offices in this old hall, while keeping the building's original spirit alive.

This mural has been realised by graffiti artists from Grenoble, from a collective called CH2.
It can be seen on St Laurent's street, and it's really really huge (takes a whole building!).

Nothing to do with this post, but if you want to know more about the results of yesterday's vote, you can click here (in French) or there (in English)?

Tomorrow we vote for our new president here in France. Apparently, some people have a particular idea about what is this civic duty...

Minatec is known as Europe premier centre for micro and nano technologies. It has opened on June 2006.
The buildings, really modern, have been designed by the Groupe 6, a firm of architects who won the international competition for the project of this new research, development and training centre.

For more information on Minatec you can visit their website.
For more information on nanotechnology, check this wikipedia page.

I'm sorry not to have provided more informations about this exhibition but I've been really busy the past few days.
So here are some things you may like to know about it.

First of all the exhibition is entitled "Délivrez-vous".
Among the artists who have participated, I can name those ones: Christabel Levasseur, Fred Delettrez, Daniel Descaves, Catherine Harder, Solène Mercier, Martine Richard... but I'm sure I'm forgetting some of them. They are all from Grenoble and its region.

For those who are living around here, unfortunately the exhibition is now closed (since April 9th).
Some of the works of art that were displayed are going to be destroyed and some other ones will be integrated as decorative elements in schools, libraries...

And to answer a question that one of you asked, the red moving circulat thing in my previous posts is a bike wheel.

Last week I visited a surprising exhibition. All the sculptures that were dispayed had been mostly made out of old books, given to the artists by schools or libraries.

April 5th is my Dad's Bday. So, tonight we went to a nice restaurant, L'Auguste, on Auguste Gaché Street. We had delicious food : ravioles, duck à l'orange and chocolate mousse for me... yummy! So all I need now is a good night sleep.
Night night everyone!

So here is my public mailbox. I must say that usually, here in France, mailboxes are supposed to be yellow, not green. But a while ago, many mailboxes in Grenoble have been painted in fancy colours (pink, green, purple...) by some people. I found them quite pleasant but most of them have been removed and replaced by brand new ones now.
