Today you're introduced to Schuss, the mascot of the Olympic Winter Games held in Grenoble in 1968. Schuss is supposed to represent a skier.
It was the first Omypiad to adopt a mascot and the first one to be proadcast in colour!

If you want to know more about these Winter Olympic Games, you can visit the two following links :
- Wikipedia
- International Olympic Commitee.

I'm sorry for the poor quality of this picture, but I took it with my mobile phone 'cause I didn't have my camera with me when I came across that in a small supermarket in the centre of Grenoble.

I found these little signs (saying "fall on prices") amusing because, as you may know, there is a big controversy on food prices here in France at the moment. According to the latest official statistics, French retail food prices (excluding fresh products) rose 2.8% year-on-year in January (highest hike since May, 1992). And it has been said by our prime minister, François Fillon, that retailers were taking advantage of the rises of agricultural produce prices and expanded their profit margin.
So an investigation have been launched by the
Fair Trading, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control (DGCCRF) into food prices rise in 6 french retail chains.

If you want to know more about this, here are some interesting links, but they are in French:
