A little experiment.
Bye Bye Summer. Could be a good title. Maybe.
Believe it or not, it's part of my flat (large balcony to be more precise).
Yeap, this is almost the end of summer holidays. Festival time is over now.So today I've decided to show you Lyon's airport. Along with St Etienne de St Geoirs, this airport is one of the nearest to Grenoble (less than 1 hour drive).
The building you can see in the picture is the TGV station, located just under the airport.
So here is my last purchase: this fabulous pair of plastic boots. A must have for open air festivals (according to the weather forecast it's supposed to be raining today in Ieper, Belgium)!I've bought these beauties in Grenoble's coolest shoe-shop: Zapatos (well, coolest, that is according to me and if you like fancy shoes of course)!

Grenette Square in 1902. You can see my vision of this place today just here (and in several other posts actually but that's the one I wanted to show you!).I should be back to normal posting on Monday.
Another picture from 1910. This time is the bandstand that can still be found in the same garden. That's where I shoot Poni Hoax during the Cabaret Frappé festival at the end of July (pictures here and there). You can also see the kiosk in my Big City Blues post.

Picture taken around 1900. If you want to have a look here, I took this picture on Vaucanson square too but the Bank building would be on the left of the old postcard (and already was at that time).
After a week taking pictures of great jazz artists, it's holiday time for me now. I'm taking a break in beautiful Stockholm, Sweden and I'll be back next week. Until then, as I don't want to shut my blog down while I'm away I've decided to take you with me for another visit to old Grenoble.So here is our first stop: train station.

Here is my interpretation of the theme: metaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal!I couldn't do less than that as it's my favourite kind of music and as we have one great band here in Grenoble called Stillrise.
Beware, you may not like their music but some of the guys in the band have been my friends for years now so watch what you're saying about them ;-)
