Edgar Chahine (born in Vienna in 1874), was an very talented painter and engraver. He studied art in Venice and Paris. He died in 1947.
In the exhibition that I've seen, only his work as an engraver is displayed. The most documented subjects are street scenes from Paris and Venice, and women portraits. I've been really impressed by how gifted he was. His work is trully fabulous.
I love vintage posters - this one is a nice choice.
