Great Crested Grebe.

This bird is a Great Crested Grebe (la descritpion en français, c'est par ici). I found him on the lake I showed you yesterday. He was peacefully crusing between the boats! As he is an excellent diver, he regularly disapeared under water to find fresh fish!
I think it was a male because of its bright colors.

Now that's more like it! Yesterday's photo was beautiful, but I examined it very closely, and I couldn't see a skerrik or orange!!

Magnifique oiseau qui transporte ses petits sur son dos tant qu'ils ne sont pas assez endurcis pour se débrouiller...Superbe photo hier aussi (j'adorais le passage le long de ce lac, au petit matin en se réveillant dans le train de nuit qui nous conduisait au ski...)
