Last week, for my work, I had to visit the SAM, a huge trade fair for the professionals of mountain equipment. The SAM is supposed to by the biggest platform for international exchange in the mountain equipment industry (in 2006, more than 12 000 people visited it).

Yesterday night, on the occasion of the music festival "Les Femmes s'en mêlent", I went to a great gig in a little venue called Le Ciel (The Sky) in the city centre of Grenoble. The artist who was performing is a singer called Phoebe Killdeer and I must say that she was very impressive on stage. The opening act was called Siskin and you can find some pictures on my website, Nevermind The Name.
Grenoble Daily Photo appeared in a local newspaper called GreNews yesterday! You can read the article (well, that is if you can read French) on their website, just there.
Here is a picture from a band from Grenoble called "40 batteurs" (40 drummers) that I saw last week.Horses in my dream.

I took this picture last week when I had to visit a horse centre for my work. I must say that I don't like horses at all so it was quite an experience! (I even dream about flesh-eating horses at night these times... any explanation about that someone?!)
But nevermind, everything went quite well in the end and, don't worry, even if this horse looks quite sad I'm sure he wasn't because the centre was really nice and all the horses there are really treated in the best possible way.

From April 2nd to 6th, a small festival called Le Printemps du livre (literally The Spring of Book) was held in Grenoble.Several activities were organised such as exhibitions in a few libraries, lectures, signing and meetings with writers etc...
The picture I'm showing you today was taken in the Jardin de Ville where an outdoor library was set up under a kiosk.
Tonight (well, thursday) was the re-opening of a small concert venue in grenoble called l'ADAEP. My friends from Bud Spencer's Clout were playing so I went there to see them one more time! As usual the gig was great even if the sound was a bit too loud I think. It's really a good thing that the ADAEP re-opens because there is a serious lack of venues of small and medium capacity here.
Picture from this "Jedi Teletubby" (!) with its lightsaber taken during the funfair called "Foire des Rameaux".

POISSONS D'AVRIL !
The April 1st tradition in France includes poisson d'avril (literally "April's fish"), attempting to attach a paper fish to the victim's back without being noticed (Wikipedia).
