This woman just looks French, even in the thumbnail on the portal. Americans never wear a scarf like that. Hardly anyone but a true Francophone can make their lips do that. I have a much harder time making the sounds of French than German, Spanish or Italian because I can't do the lip thing right to save my life. But then there is also the French R compared to the English R, with yours in the nose and back of the mouth. Can't do that either but the kind people of France take pity on me when I at least try, rather than speaking English.

Yep, Deputy mayor sounds right. And i agree - she looks french! I try to do scarf stuff sometimes and they usually end up all over the place and looking weird!
