If you look carefully, you'll read a different name in the centre of this photo : Gratianopolis. This is the name which was given to Grenoble in 380, when the Roman emperor Gratien came and improved the walls surrounding the city.
As I told under the "cucumber" (thanks for the info) photo, I was too curious so I looked for the name which would follow. Now you "proved" it. A fantastic idea to show these - almost -- identical photos, so nicely framed!

Tu as bien fait de les avoir photographiées. Je n'y avais jamais prêté attention... et en plus j'y découvre les signes du zodiaque... Merci pour cette leçon d'histoire et le beau cadrage.
