That's a shame. Henri Fantin was such a major figure in the Symbolist movement of the 19th century. And the reason for turning it into a restaurant?
Addition...I remember seeing some of his art at the Musee D'Orsay. This guy's realistic rendering of flowers and was amazing...at least I thought so. Although, I guess I'm more a fan of Manet and Degas.
Oui Henri Fantin-Latour était Grenoblois d'origine, ami de Manet, Degas...spécialiste de bouquets de fleurs, de natures mortes et portraits.
Il y avait un Musée maintenant reconverti en un superbe restaurant le cadre étant vraiment exceptionnel...
je ne connais pas le musée Fantin, c'etait un musée sur quel theme ? honte de mon ignorance ;o)
